Zingora kennels welcomes Katie to our family. She is the grand daughter of Skye (Grisse Basse Starlight Girl of Zingora) and Newman (Piketberg Warrior Awesome)

Katie, a black brindle, has so far proved to be a delight in our bully family! She has been introduced to her great grandfather Uzzi, her aunt Chloe and of course to her grandmamma Skye! We look forward to watching her grow and mature and, in the future, bless us with little ones of her own.

Zingora Bull Terriers

Zingora Bull Terriers is based in Cape Town, South Africa. We breed outstanding pure bred Bull Terriers the prime factor being temperament. We are a member of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA) and an accredited KUSA breeder.

The love for a bull terrier began in 1998 for me – my son, an ardent dog lover, introduced his young bully pup to me and it was instant love at first sight. At the time he spent many sporting weekends away and we were asked to ‘puppy sit’. There and then I decided that this is the breed for me!

We wanted a dog that could socialize not only with humans but with other animals as well. This led us to look further a field and finally we opted for the Dutch (Grisse Basse) line with the Quest (Norwegian) line behind it. We are a small kennel with two brood bitches and one stud dog. We also have three ‘retired ladies’ living out their mature years under shady trees and on the couch! Our bullies are our pets; they are family dogs that thrive on not only on human company but each other as well. In actuality our bullies are our ‘children’.

We breed on a very small scale; our girls only have one litter each per year. Our pups are raised in the house and become part of the family. Our grandchildren visit on a regular basis and were all raised with our bullies therefore giving the pups a good balance of human and canine socializing. We would like to acknowledge Dave Brennan (Inkunzi Bull Terriers) who was extremely helpful and supportive in our search for the 'right' type of bull terrier. We would also like to acknowledge Nonnie Oosthuizen (Piketberg Bull Terriers) who has proved invaluable with her sound and knowledgeable advice.

Our commitment to the Bull Terrier Breed

1. We breed for temperament first.
2. We only breed to improve the breed and not for monetary gain.
3. We keep all our dogs until the pass onto doggy heaven.
4. We try not to breed from any animals that may have genetic problems or have health problems.
5. Puppies are only sold to approved "Bully Proof" homes. (Are kept indoors, part of the family, etc.)
6. We provide assistance to all our new puppy owners for the of the dogs life.
7. We are a KUSA (Kennel Union of South Africa) registered breeder and a Accredited KUSA breeder

We live in the Strand, Western Cape, South Africa. The Strand (Afrikaans for 'beach') is a seaside resort town situated on the eastern edge of False Bay and at the foot of the Hottentots Holland Mountains. Its geographical position is just between Macassar and Gordon's Bay, and is about 50 km southeast of Cape Town. Strand is in the Western Cape province of South Africa, and has a population of approximately 50 000.Strand's main attraction is the beach; five kilometers of white sandy beach lapped by the waters of False Bay.
